Variants§
ReifyFnPointer
Go from a fn-item type to a fn-pointer type.
UnsafeFnPointer
Go from a safe fn pointer to an unsafe fn pointer.
ClosureFnPointer(Unsafety)
Go from a non-capturing closure to an fn pointer or an unsafe fn pointer. It cannot convert a closure that requires unsafe.
MutToConstPointer
Go from a mut raw pointer to a const raw pointer.
ArrayToPointer
Go from *const [T; N]
to *const T
Unsize
Unsize a pointer/reference value, e.g., &[T; n]
to
&[T]
. Note that the source could be a thin or fat pointer.
This will do things like convert thin pointers to fat
pointers, or convert structs containing thin pointers to
structs containing fat pointers, or convert between fat
pointers. We don’t store the details of how the transform is
done (in fact, we don’t know that, because it might depend on
the precise type parameters). We just store the target
type. Codegen backends and miri figure out what has to be done
based on the precise source/target type at hand.

source§fn has_vars_bound_at_or_above(&self, binder: DebruijnIndex) -> bool
fn has_vars_bound_at_or_above(&self, binder: DebruijnIndex) -> bool
true
if self
has any late-bound regions that are either
bound by binder
or bound by some binder outside of binder
.
If binder
is ty::INNERMOST
, this indicates whether
there are any late-bound regions that appear free. Read moresource§fn has_vars_bound_above(&self, binder: DebruijnIndex) -> bool
fn has_vars_bound_above(&self, binder: DebruijnIndex) -> bool

if this type has any regions that escape binder
(and
hence are not bound by it). Read moresource§fn has_escaping_bound_vars(&self) -> bool
fn has_escaping_bound_vars(&self) -> bool
true
if this type has regions that are not a part of the type.
For example, for<'a> fn(&'a i32)
return false
, while fn(&'a i32)
would return true
. The latter can occur when traversing through the
former. Read morefn has_type_flags(&self, flags: TypeFlags) -> bool

Layout§
Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...)
attributes. Please see the Rust Reference’s “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
