Struct rustc_hir::def_id::StableCrateId
source · pub struct StableCrateId(pub(crate) Hash64);
Expand description
A StableCrateId
is a 64-bit hash of a crate name, together with all
-Cmetadata
arguments, and some other data. It is to CrateNum
what DefPathHash
is to
DefId
. It is stable across compilation sessions.
Since the ID is a hash value, there is a small chance that two crates
end up with the same StableCrateId
. The compiler will check for such
collisions when loading crates and abort compilation in order to avoid
further trouble.
For more information on the possibility of hash collisions in rustc,
see the discussion in DefId
.

Layout§
Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...)
attributes. Please see the Rust Reference's “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
