Struct rustc_hir::Lifetime

source ·
pub struct Lifetime {
    pub hir_id: HirId,
    pub span: Span,
    pub name: LifetimeName,
}

Fields

hir_id: HirIdspan: Spanname: LifetimeName

Either “'a”, referring to a named lifetime definition, or “``” (i.e., kw::Empty), for elision placeholders.

HIR lowering inserts these placeholders in type paths that refer to type definitions needing lifetime parameters, &T and &mut T, and trait objects without ... + 'a.

Layout

Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...) attributes. Please see the Rust Reference’s “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
